Concussion

Injury to the tooth supporting structures without abnormal loosening or displacement of the tooth.
Treatment
Primary teeth: Unless associated infection exists, no pulpal therapy is indicated.
Permanent teeth: Although there is a minimal risk for pulp necrosis, mature permanent teeth with closed apices may undergo pulpal necrosis due to associated injuries to the blood vessels at the apex and, therefore, must be followed carefully.
